24 Weeks= 6 Months! & Exciting Things

A lot happened in a few days...

1. I had my first real Snow Day !!!
It was beautiful... but it did make me miss working as a sub.
Still it was lovely.

2.  My Sister-In-Law and friend Beth had her birthday and a surprise...
Her and my Brother-In-Law Zach are expecting!
Their little one will be making his or her appearance only 4 months after Asher!
Yay for Cousins!
And that kid is going to be a looker... and an amazing child of God...
Considering Zach & Beth are both worship leaders and full time intercessory missionaries.

3. I became 24 weeks pregnant... aka 6 Months!!!!
I feel really big. I mean really big. I think people think I'm further along than I am.

4. I won a pretty sweet giveaway over at Spearmint Baby!
It was the Kokopax Tote seen below:
To see more of their products check out there website: HERE

&  Finally 5. God is really building Jasha & I up.
The community and friendships we have here in Virginia are great.
While I miss Texas, and all my family & friends
it is nice to see how God is helping us grow in this new environment.
We are blessed.

22 Weeks & An Update

Hello dear friends. Once more I am sorry I was off the grid for a few days...
Settling into a different place makes one very tired I have discovered.

I want to start off by saying thank you all for your comments about Asher's name...
We love it & it is so fun to call him by name & talk to my little one.

So things here are going really well. Jasha is settling into his new job, but we just have to work out his schedule.
We are very much still in transition phase. With his new job he will be working mainly 2-8:30 ish so we have to adjust but it is all for the best.
I also will be substitute teaching soon at a Christian school which is very exciting :)

We are definitely getting plugged into our prayer room community & attending an awesome home church which I am very excited about.

I still miss my family & friends.. I always will.
Thank goodness for Skype though!

& Although it is a little late here is my 22 week photo...

I am also working on making a new slideshow of my pregnancy week to week- which I will update you with in the coming week.
I also plan on blogging about inspiration ideas for Asher's nursery, clothes, etc.
I got a new sewing machine for Christmas & bought my first pattern & fabric (this endeavor will be documented as well).

Once more thank you all so much for your amazing comments! They all make me smile so much.
If you don't mind sparing some clicks to vote for me :) Thanks

His Name...

We LOVE this name.
Asher means happy & blessed... and this little one is constantly dancing in my tummy
especially when music is on.
James is a family name on Jasha's side.
I will probably call him Ash most of the time.
...
Now it is always subject to change...
BUT we are98% sure this is it.
(I say that because of any just in cases)

Dear Asher,

You my son are loved.
By God.
By Mommy & Daddy.
By all your grandparents, aunts & uncles.

You are my special one & we can't wait to see you.
I'm praying for you constantly to grow into a man of God with a heart for Him.

I love you my little one.
Love,
Mommy.

Update on my move to Virginia:
Well we traveled through mountains & snow to get here but we made it.
We are just settling in with my in-laws (where we will be living until we find our own perfect little place)
Thank you all again for your encouragement.
I can't wait to blog more about my adventure (as my wonderful Momma put it)
and our time waiting for my baby Asher.

A Warm Thanks & 21 Weeks

I want to thank everyone out there who commented on my blog about me moving.
Yesterday had to have been one of the hardest days of my life.
Currently we are at the halfway mark in AL & I feel much less emotional...
which is nice because being emotional & traveling for over 12 hours is exhausting.

:)
But seriously I love this blog community!
So many of your comments made me cry or tell Jasha how blessed I am to have you all.
A lot of your advice had to do with finding a great community where we move... well I forgot to mention we are actually moving to where my hubs grew up & where he found the Lord.
There is an awesome community/house of prayer there called The Prayer Furnace & I have tons of friends there from throughout the years. It is actually kind of where Jasha & I first met (where you can read about in the Our Story link).
God is so good to me.

So today I am 21 weeks.
This picture is actually from two days ago, but the Doctor told me my little boy is measuring a week ahead (or is just a big boy) ha so I'm going to count it.
Considering I was almost 9 lbs & my Mom's smallest baby..out of four...
And Josh was a 10 pounder I wouldn't count out our son being big.

& if you don't mind sparing two clicks please vote for my blog :)

PS- We will be revealing the baby name soon so be on the look out!!

Growing Up Is Hard To Do

Unrelated to the post below... I cut my bangs the other day & I really like it :)
...

Thank you all for your kind words about our sweet baby boy...
We have his name narrowed down to three, & we are pretty sure we know which one it will be
But I think we will wait a bit to announce it.
He is being super squirmy as of late & I love it.

Now tomorrow is the day we leave Texas for the first leg of our move to Virginia.
We will be stopping halfway in Birmingham for a day to visit some family & then leave on Saturday morning for Virginia.

Now as many of you know I have written about how I was young when I got married, and while I feel like I have grown up so much since then... I never have really felt "grown up"... yet.
Well
This move feels like growing up.

I have this scary daunting feeling that this is it.
My transition from young girl-woman to young woman mommy.
Maybe it has to do with leaving here... my home of 20 years... of leaving the land where my Mom, Dad, sisters & brother are.

It is scary to grow, but I trust God.
& I am also reassured by my wonderful Hubs that I will get to visit often & it will be just as much as when I was in college.
It is one of my upmost priorities for my son to know & love my family here, so we will be (hopefully) pro travelers with a baby in the coming years.

Basically I feel so much right now...
Excited. Sad. Strange.
This move just makes me feel a lot.
Growing up is hard to do.

One things for sure...
I sure am going to miss that big ole' Texas sky.

Dear Texas,
Thanks for being so awesome.
You wore some of your pride on me ;) I won't even deny it.
I'll be seeing you.

2011 & 20 Weeks

Today I am officially 20 weeks! 5 months! 1/2 Way!
Wow.

(Those awesome boots were one of my gifts from the Hubs for Cmas... love them!)

Today is also New Years Eve & This year has been beautiful!
Jasha & I grown so much as lovers, friends, and people.
I am so thankful for 2010. I remember last year being in Virginia for New Years & thinking of what this year would bring. Now we are just months away from a having a little baby...
Blessed... it's the only word that fits.

So resolutions... well I've never been the best at them, but here is a list of hopes for 2011.

So here is to the new year...
The year I will move halfway across the country... out of a state I've lived in for 20 years...
The year I will have a child & become a mother...
& The year I will grow, and love in whole new ways.

Packing & Relaxing.

I'm sorry I have been so MIA lately.
First was the week away from my husband. Then he got to Houston this past Friday and we had to leave Sunday to go to Austin for an early doctor's appointment on Monday.

The doctor's appointment went really well.
We heard the little one's heartbeat again and that was about it.
In two weeks is our 20th week checkup & we will hopefully find out if our little is a boy or girl.

Then on Monday we packed up our room in Austin and shipped off a lot of boxes to Virginia. AND then we drove back to Houston late last night...After that I was exhausted....

Seriously I have been so exhausted lately.
Did anyone else experience that in their second trimester?

With all that said... once more I am sorry I have not been updating as much as I had hope. I plan to soon.. with pictures and all :)

I hope everyone is having a happy & relaxing holiday.
